L’Aquila Action Project
The L’Aquila Action project, sponsored by the US State Department, was designed and carried out by TESOL Italy for the English language teachers of the crater area of L’Aquila after the devastating earthquake of April 6, 2009.
The L’Aquila Action Notebook is a documentation of this project.
To find out more about the project and the Notebook, please contact the L’Aquila Local Group co-ordinator or the TESOL Italy office.
TESOL Italy’s dream is that the effects of this modest project can continue in time to be an inspiration to the teachers and students of L’Aquila.
Special thanks go to:
David Mees, the Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy in Rome
Marina Morbiducci, the President of TESOL Italy at the time of the earthquake
Annarosa Iraldo and Beth Ann Boyle, co-authors of the Notebook
