Russell Stannard is a NILE Associate Trainer (Norwich Institute for Language Education) and tutor on their Masters in TESOL course. He is the founder of www.teachertrainingvideos.com, a website that has received awards from the Time Higher Educational, the British Council (ELTons) and the University of Westminster. It offers free step-by-step videos to help teachers incorporate technology into their teaching and receives more than 300,000 visits a year.
Russell’s interest in technology has focused on feedback, developing students’ fluency, assessment, the Flipped Classroom and reflection. His feedback idea generated widespread media interest and was included in a report on ‘educational innovations’ submitted to the UK government. It also led to several TV appearances and coverage in number of UK national newspapers. He writes regular columns in the English Teaching Professional and the Teacher Trainer
